Donald Trump reacts to the killings of farmers and land expropriation issue on Twitter: Are we next on his sanctions?

US President Donald Trump has tweeted that he has asked his Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, to look into land expropriation and the killing of white farmers in South Africa. His tweet follows a FOX NEWS report on land expropriation in South Africa by Tucker Carlson in his Tonight Show, accusing Ramaphosa of seizing land from his own citizens without compensation because ‘they are of the wrong colour’. On Wednesday a US think-tank, the Cato Institute, published an editorial calling on Trump to act against South Africa. This could possibly result in the US imposing tariffs on SA imports, a move that could plunge the Rand into a free fall and collapse our economy.
