Black gold

Wealthy Black individuals have the social capital to be a game changer when it comes to structural racism but they shy away from addressing it. There are ‘penalties’ for talking about race in wealthy social circles since you will be seen as a trouble maker.

So if you want to be wealthy and successful, you must understand the price to be paid to be incorporated into the mainstream society. Play the game that there is no colour and therefore there is no racism.

Perpetuate the methodology of mainstream society and act as its mouth piece. Criticise those who complain about racism and label them as ‘lazy’.

Those are some of the terms of engagement for Black people to be successful and wealthy.
